Medere wins the fourth edition of BioUpper, an Italian program of acceleration for startups in the Life Sciences field. The programme is promoted by Novartis and the Cariplo Foundation with the participation of IBM and the collaboration of Cariplo Factory.

Leveraging our consolidated know-how of manufacturing bespoke insoles (already on sale through our mobile app), we have developed and improved the production process of insoles using AI with the support of IBM. The new project is based on our mobile app to collect the required data that are processed automatically using an Artificial Intelligence system for preliminary diagnostic screening. A digital twin of each foot is obtained with a reconstruction system based on SFM (Structure From Motion) algorithms. The insoles model will be 3D printed and integrated with sensors for monitoring. This idea has already been awarded by the Ministry of Economic Development and is moving forward thanks to the support of Novartis.
Thanks to this award we will be able to access the network of relationships in Silicon Valley made available by Novartis, IBM and Cariplo, through Novartis Biome and other international networks of incubators that identify and support the development of highly innovative biomedical startups.
