Raffaele Ferrante, CEO

Raffaele Ferrante is a biomedical engineer (University of Rome Tor Vergata), currently PhD student in Computer Science, Control and Geoinformation (University of Rome Tor Vergata). After his MSc, and before beginning his entrepreneurial activity, he worked for over 3 years in Sentech Srl, an industrial company involved in biomedical research. Raffaele developed attitude and skills in project and financial management thanks to his active collaboration in the company administration and in project management. He enriches is entrepreneurial activity following continuously dedicated course (e.g. Intesa Sanpaolo Startup Initiative, EU-founded project IRSUS). Raffaele also collaborates with the Law Court as biomedical expert in Judge supporting. He has worked at the business development of Medere and is still managing all activity related to: IPs preparation and filing, non-dilutive funds raising, business plan preparation, partner agreements and administration managing. He gains the Certificate of Professional Competence of Engineer.

Marco Mannisi, CPO

Marco Mannisi has over 4 years of experience in applied health research field, especially in CAD design and 3D printing of custom-made orthotics for the management of osteoarthritis, and in finite element analysis and musculoskeletal modelling. He was an ESR in the EU-funded project Kneemo (European Union Marie Curie Actions- Initial Training Networks (ITN), FP7-PEOPLE-2013-ITN). Marco Mannisi graduated at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy) in Medical Engineering (MSc) and got his PhD at Glasgow Caledonian University (UK) in Health and Life Sciences. He was a researcher at Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in the Laboratory of Medical Technology (Bologna, Italy) and visiting researcher at the University of Aalborg (Denmark), at the Paracelsus Medical Private University (Austria) and at the University of Melbourne (Australia). Marco has a track record of relevant scientific publications and his work was presented to both scientific, in the most relevant conferences in the field, and general public, during dissemination events.

Daniele Bianchi, CTO

Daniele Bianchi has over 5 years of experience in biomedical engineering research field, especially in computational approach for simulating the mechanical response of biological tissues by coupling patient-specific geometric description with a multiscale structurally-motivated tissue constitutive model. In 2018 Daniele achieved with honours a PhD degree in Civil Engineering (Program: Structural Engineering and Geotechnics) at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy). In the framework of the PhD program, Daniele established a very effective international cooperation network, involving -among others- research groups from the Institute of Continuum Mechanics – Leibnitz University (Hannover, Germany), the University Campus Biomedico (Rome, Italy), as well as successfully contributing in a number of research grants (funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research) and consultancy activities. Daniele’s results issued from research activities have been published on high-impact international journals (e.g., Journal of Biomechanics, Medical Engineering & Physics), and many contributions in prestigious international and national conferences has been presented. Daniele is an active member of the Italian Chapter of the European Society of Biomechanics.
