POP PROJECT

Orthopedic insoles
customization

Musculoskeletal diseases are among the major causes of disability and lead to a reduction in the quality of life, a strong economic and social impact and high medical costs. To date, many diseases associated with the lower limbs and in particular, but not exclusively, the foot, are managed thanks to the use of orthopedic insoles that represent a conservative and corrective therapy. The POP Research Project bases its innovation on the synergy between the most advanced image reconstruction technologies and three-dimensional printing, overcoming the limitations of current production techniques of custom insoles and defining an effective and Green production workflow.

STEP PROJECT

Corrective insoles
sensorized

There are many musculoskeletal pathologies that are monitored and treated starting from data collected during gait analysis sessions (analysis of walking). The Passo project aims to overcome these limitations by providing a simple, intuitive but at the same time useful and technologically advanced product aiming at the development of a corrective and therapeutic insole made to measure with an integrated monitoring system.

I4I PROJECT

Innovation for
inclusion

The I4I project aims to improve the quality of inclusive rehabilitation services through modern 3D printing and CAD modeling technologies and aims to improve the quality of life of people and children with disabilities in low-income countries. As part of the international cooperation project in Uganda (I4I: Innovation for Inclusion) we have created several models and devices that can be produced on site: connectors for machines used for assisted breathing and anesthesia; anatomical models for training medical personnel; models of AFOs and sockets for production through additive manufacturing; devices for the maintenance of 3D printers.

VETERE PROJECT

Integrated Therapy System
and Veterans Rehabilitation

Within the Vetere project (Veterans therapy and rehabilitation integrated system), a complete methodology has been developed that starts from the diagnosis, through objective instrumental evaluation EEG (electroencephalography) and the doctor, of a pathological psychophysical state (PTSD) or physical (neuromotor deficit), to guarantee the most appropriate therapeutic and rehabilitative path through the creation of a system based on technological applications such as TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and Brain Computer Interface.

DIAPASON Project

DIABETIC PATIENTS
Safe ambulatiON

As part of the DIAPASON project (DIAbetic PAtients Safe ambulatiON. Enhancing resilience of patients with Diabetes and Neuropathy to maintain safe ambulation: innovative care models integrating new orthotics technology and new metabolic biomarkers), we have created and validated, in collaboration with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, diabetic insoles with pressure relief made remotely and with additive manufacturing by integrating data from baropodometry.

OrthoGREEN

Green
Orthotics

The OrtoGreen project is part of the Green PON 2014-2020 theme, proposing a research workflow for the eco-sustainable production of orthopedic aids. In particular, the use of additive manufacturing and biodegradable materials could revolutionize the production and disposal of orthotic supports.
