3D-printed orthopedic insoles: new research from Medere, Campus Bio-Medico, and the "G. d'Annunzio" University

Medere announces a new scientific publication on 3D-printed orthopedic insoles . The study was conducted in collaboration with the Campus Bio-Medico in Rome and the University of Chieti-Pescara "G. d'Annunzio".

The work, entitled “Improving the manufacturing of 3D printed insoles through a combined experimental and topology optimization approach” , was published in the journal Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures in 2024.

The research analyzes a method that combines experimentation and topological optimization . The goal is to improve the production process of 3D-printed orthopedic insoles.

Specifically, the study aims to make production more efficient, reducing time and costs. At the same time, the method optimizes the insole's structure and performance.

Collaboration between Medere and its academic partners was crucial to the project's development. Contributions included Dr. Lorenzo Zoboli and Professor Gizzi of the Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, Dr. Daniele Bianchi of Medere, and Professor Falcinelli of the University of Chieti-Pescara.

This publication confirms Medere's commitment to scientific research applied to 3D printing . Furthermore, it represents a new step in the development of increasingly efficient solutions for the production of personalized orthopedic devices.

The integration of research, digital design, and additive manufacturing continues to be a central element of Medere's innovation journey.
