Medere selected among the 5 finalists of the “Unirsi per l'Impresa” award

We are proud to announce that Medere has been selected among the finalists of the “Unirsi per l'impresa” award organized by Unindustria. Five finalists were chosen for the degree of innovation and state of progress of the product or process, employment impact and skills of the project team.

The project presented by Medere aims to create and market customized orthopedic insoles with an innovative production process. Currently, the production of customized orthopedic insoles is based on a long, expensive manufacturing process that is not accessible to all consumers. Our project uses modern image reconstruction and Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) modeling technologies to overcome current production limitations. Furthermore, Medere uses modern three-dimensional printing techniques to create the physical insole. This technology guarantees a reduction in both production times and costs. Our project opens the possibility of customizing the orthopedic insole based on the needs and activities of the individual user.

The final phase where we will present our idea and the award ceremony will be held on January 31st at the WEGIL headquarters (the former GIL, the historic building in Trastevere). In the meantime, the online evaluation phase of the projects that have reached the finals is open.
