Medere for Uganda: New Developments
April 29, 2024
It is an honor to describe the developments of the project IMPACT3D (Scaling and replicating 3D technology to improve the lives of people with disabilities in Uganda) aimed at consolidating the foundations laid in the first phase of the project and improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
In Uganda, the goal is to scale up the 3D printing services already established at theCoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital and Center of Orthopedic Excellence during the first phase of the project. This initiative, in collaboration with the innovator Medere, aims to increase the number of beneficiaries and improve the skills of medical personnel. The study of this approach will allow us to develop guidelines to improve the sustainability and effectiveness of the innovation to demonstrate the replicability of the intervention.
We will continue to update you on this exciting project and its potential to transform lives and communities through advanced technology and strategic collaboration.
